3D-A5000 Cannot Be Detected In VisionPro

3D-A5000 has been supported since VisionPro 9.5 version. It can happen in those early versions that the camera cannot be detected in VisionPro. This article describes a possible reason and solution for that issue

Details

If the 3D-A5000 cannot be detected in VisionPro, check if the PATH environment system variable contains the "..\A5000\bin" directory. On a typical installation, the directory can be found at:
C:\Program Files\Cognex\A5000\bin

 

  1. Open Advanced System Settings of Windows
  2. Click on Environment Variables...
  3. Select Path under System variables
  4. Click on Edit...
  5. Check if "..\A5000\bin" is in the list, if not, click on New
  6. Add the "..\A5000\bin" path, which is "C:\Program Files\Cognex\A5000\bin" with typical installation
  7. Click on OK
