Generating CodeMeter Logs

Generating CodeMeter logs can be useful when investigating issues that may be impacted by security (e.g slow start up times, security violation issues, ...)

1. Open CodeMeter Control Center

   

2. Enable Logging (File → Logging)

   

3. Open your Cognex software and replicate the issue you are having

4. Run CmDust.exe

   

5. Wait for CmDust to close

   

6. Send the log file generated in %ProgramData%\CodeMeter\Logs to technical support
