Question
What is supported on ENET 0 and ENET 1?
Answer
ENET0: Connection to ISVS, Web HMI, TCP/IP, OPC/UA, FTP, and FFP (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, SLMP, etc.)
ENET1: Connection to ISVS, Web HMI, TCP/IP, OPC/UA, FTP
Only one connection to ISVS at a time is supported. You cannot connect to ISVS on both ethernet ports simultaneously.
Only one FFP (Factory Floor Protocol) can be used at once across both ethernet connections. FFPs include Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and SLMP.
Recommended to use ENET0 for FFP as it is required for both Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and SLMP
For high-speed applications with FFP, it is recommended to connect to ISVS with ENET1
The Web HMI CAN be connected to both ethernet ports simultaneously.
Example Valid Configurations:
- ENET0 = Profinet; ENET1 = ISVS, FTP;
- ENET0 = ISVS; ENET1 = TCP/IP, FTP;
- ENET0 = Profinet, FTP; ENET1 = OPC/UA, ISVS;
