No. Only C-mount lenses and HSLLs are supported.
What is supported on ENET 0 and ENET 1?
ENET0: Connection to In-Sight Vision Suite (ISVS), WebHMI, TCP/IP, SLMP, OPC/UA, FTP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP
ENET1: Connection to In-Sight Vision Suite, Web HMI, TCP/IP, SLMP, OPC/UA, FTP
Notes:
- Only one connection to In-Sight Vision Suite at a time is supported. You cannot connect to In-Sight Vision Suite on both ethernet ports simultaneously.
- The WebHMI CAN be connected to by both ethernet ports simultaneously
What is the difference between an In-Sight 380xM/CP and an In-Sight 380xM/CS?
S = Standard Model
- Equivalent rules-based and EL tool speed to In-Sight 2800 series
- Roughly 1.2x faster rules-based tool speed over In-Sight 7900 Gen 2 Series
P = Performance Model
- Roughly 2x faster rules-based tool speed over In-Sight 7900 Gen 2 series
- Roughly 3 – 4x faster EL tool speed over In-Sight 2800 series
X = Extreme Model
- Roughly 2x faster rules-based tool speed over In-Sight 7900 Gen 2 series
- Roughly 4 – 6x faster EL tool speed over In-Sight 2800 series
Do all models have HDR/HDR+?
Yes. HDR/HDR+ plus on all models, mono and color, respectively.
Is partial acquisition (i.e., crop rows) supported?
Yes.
How about cropping or binning a higher resolution model down to a lower resolution model?
This is also supported via the “Camera Configuration” setting in the In-Sight Vision Suite Shell (like In-Sight 2800/In-Sight D900).
Once the setting is changed, the camera MUST reboot. This is not a runtime feature.
Here are the possible resolution options:
- In-Sight 3801M: full res 1440x1080 or 720x540 binned mode (mono only)
- In-Sight 3803M/C: full res 2048x1536 or 1440x1080 cropped
- In-Sight 3805M/C: full res 2448x2048, 2048x1536 cropped, or 1440x1080 cropped
Is there a Job Converter?
Yes, a Job Converter tool is available online for download. This tool allows users to convert In-Sight Explorer Gen 2 Spreadsheet jobs into Gen 3 Spreadsheet jobs. The converter will not convert everything, but it will give users a good start on their conversion process and give feedback on what did not convert.
Does the In-Sight 3800 support the In-Sight SDK?
No, the In-Sight SDK is going to be end of life (EOL) with the newer generation of products. This is being replaced by the In-Sight WebSDK. The WebSDK will contain developers guides and sample code for advanced users looking to develop against it.
Does the VisionView 900 support the In-Sight 3800?
No, the VisionView 900 is being replaced by the new VisionView Web.
