How can I factory reset a DataMan reader if I am unable to connect to it with DataMan Setup Tool?
Answer
To reset the DataMan back to factory defaults, do the following:
- Disconnect the power I/O cable from the DataMan.
- Hold down the trigger button while reconnect the power I/O cable.
- Continue to hold the trigger button until you see the status LED flash red and green alternately, and there will be a quick succession of beeps.
- The device should now be factory reset.
NOTES:
- A factory reset will force the camera to use DHCP for its network settings.
- The above instructions only work on DataMan that have a physical trigger button and a removable power cable.
