Can you change the communications module of a wireless handheld reader?
Answer
It depends on what you are trying to do.
You can change the comms module in the base station back to the PLC/PC from and to any of the following:
USB, RS-232, Ethernet
You CANNOT change the way the reader communicates to the base station. (I.E if you have a Bluetooth reader, you cannot make it a WIFI wireless reader)
You also CANNOT change a Bluetooth Direct Connect or WIFI Infrastructure reader to another kind.
