How can I connect to my mobile hand scanner with my PC to setup my parameters?
Answer
To connect to an MX1000 or MX1502 mobile reader using the DataMan Setup Tool application assure the following:
- First, make sure that the computer the DataMan Setup Tool application is installed on, and the mobile device used with the MX reader are connected to the same network. The subnets they are connected to need to be the same.
- The computer needs to recognize the WIFI connection as a private network to see the MX device. It’s unlikely that a public network over WIFI will allow for the connection.
- The Cognex Quick Setup application needs to be open on the mobile device for the DataMan Setup Tool to recognize the MX reader as an available device to connect to.
- Any version 5.7.1 SR1 or newer version of the DataMan Setup Tool can be used to connect to MX mobile scanners.
